  5. When threatened, yellowjackets can sting repeatedly making them a real danger.
  6. The abdomen of a yellowjacket features black and yellow bands.
  7. There are approximately 16 species of yellowjackets in the U.S.
  8. Only the queen can survive the winter.
  9. Common nesting sites include trees, bushes and eaves.
  10. Larvae consume protein in the form of other insects.
