Stinging insects force half a million people to the emergency room every year. Cockroach and rodent allergens trigger asthma attacks in children; rodents contaminate or consume about 20% of the world’s food supply and bed bugs can cause allergic reactions. The importance of the pest control industry to the nation as an essential service cannot be understated.
We strongly encourage everyone to follow the advice set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our government leaders. As an organization, we are taking additional measures to ensure we provide the best level of protection for both our customers and our employees. Highlight of the precautions ATTENTION Pest Solutions is taking includes ensuring all of our Technicians are equipped with nitrile disposable gloves, N95 Valve respirator masks with gasket, chemical respirator masks with OV/P100 cartridges, safety glasses, disposable shoe covers and tyvek disposable sleeves.
Additionally, the pest control industry is trained, tested and certified in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Technicians routinely employ the use of respirators, eye protection, gloves, and clothing to conform with safety requirements established by EPA and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.
